Terror Master....

Hi all,

Been trying to get the scenery on my laptop up to date with Terramaster... and failing.

It's Linux mint, just like my PC, where I successfully managed to use Terramaster previously..

I'm running the .jar from terminal (have tried sudo and not).

I have specified my scenery directory as: /usr/share/games/flightgear/Scenery (which is the default location.)

I select the tile of interest, it turns red, I hit the button, the tile goes blue briefly, terminal displays this:
sync w010n50/w006n50... Terrain/w010n50/w006n50/28 items (4898533 bytes)... svn: E155004: There are unfinished work items in '/usr/share/games/flightgear/Scenery/Terrain'; run 'svn cleanup' first.

Then the tile turns yellow and terminal spits this out:
Objects/w010n50/w006n50/30 items (1534717 bytes)... updated to r56747.

No folders or files are created in my scenery directory.

I didn't have SVN installed (never heard of it before), so have installed it, ran "svn cleanup" at the Scenery directory, it made no difference.

Any ideas chaps?

Hmphh...

I decided to reinstall FGFS as on this laptop it's been messed around with in my early days and could do with a freshen up.

However, half way through uninstalling it, i realised that the Scenery directory permissions may have been holding Terramaster out, (but it still didn't work running under Sudo... ? don't know.. either way, I'll try again with a fresh install.

Installing version 2017.2.1 for Ubuntu, hope it works on Mint!

Cheers, Scott

Clean install done. Terra master now works (and nicely includes FGUK EGOD scenery!)

Thanks Stuart, so it's worth replacing ti with the FGUK scenery download from the hangar? ... If I can figure out how to do it...

Hi Scott, yes just grab the one from the hangar, put it in a scenery folder, or a custom folder inside your data folder, then make sure it's at the top of the tree inside the launch GUI (If you're using one) and it should work fine.

I'm not convinced that installing the current EGOD scenery is as simple as some would have you believe  If you have problems with it, maybe try this post,
